Darryl Thomas resides in the district of West Philadelphia. He worked for the Department of Justice before opening his shop and is passionate about the well-being and success of his community.
The 45-year-old Mill Creek native graduated from Howard University and has owned and run Philly Cuts barbershop for the last 20 years, located at 44th and Chestnut.
“It’s a meeting place for people of good will,” Thomas refering to his barber shop in an interview with Capital-Star. This interview took place as the barber and his staff were preparing for a visit from Democratic gubernatorial nominee Josh Shapiro.
“We pride ourselves on providing an intimate space where individuals and elected officials who have the community’s best interest at heart,” can have a platform, he said.
Darryl has created a strong foundation in West Philadelphia, provided job opportunities, and has been involved in numerous community events including the PPIA.
